Position Overview:
The Junior Biostatistics Analyst plays a crucial role in delivering statistical expertise to institutional personnel engaged in clinical or experimental research initiatives. This position supports researchers as designated by collaborative agreements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Offer statistical and/or epidemiological insights to institutional researchers involved in basic, translational, clinical, and/or population science investigations as specified by collaboration areas.
- Conduct data quality assurance and control, manage data, and perform programming for data preparation, alongside statistical and/or epidemiological evaluations utilizing standard statistical software.
- Execute standard statistical and/or epidemiological assessments and compile analysis reports, which include graphical and tabular presentations, methodological descriptions, interpretation of results, and valid inferences.
- Operate under the general supervision of a faculty member or designated representative.
- Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned to achieve departmental and institutional objectives.
- Maintain consistent and reliable attendance.
- Prior experience with the analysis and interpretation of human genetic and other omics data is preferred.
Educational Requirements:
- A Bachelor's degree in biostatistics, statistics, epidemiology, or a related discipline is required.
- A Master's degree is preferred.
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum Requirement: A Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of relevant experience is required.
- Experience Exception: A Master's degree with no prior experience is acceptable.
Compensation Information:
In compliance with certain U.S. state and municipal pay transparency regulations, St. Jude provides a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this position. This estimate is presented in good faith, and actual salary offers consider various factors such as skill sets, experience, training, licensure, certifications, and other organizational needs. It is uncommon for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for the Junior Biostatistics Analyst role is $78,000 - $139,360 annually.
