Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Floor Care Specialist. As a key member of our Environmental Services department, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for our patients and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Environmental Services: Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing duties such as sweeping, dust mopping, and wet mopping floors and stairways.
- Floor Care: Perform auto-scrubbing and deep cleaning of patient room laminate floors, as well as hard floor care processes such as floor stripping, prep, and apply finish, deep scrub & recoat, and burnishing.
- Carpet Care: Spot clean all carpeted areas daily and extract carpeted areas, including elevators, as directed by carpet cleaning schedule.
- Restroom Maintenance: Deep-clean restroom floors per schedule.
- Equipment Maintenance: Maintain equipment and materials in a clean and orderly manner.
- Additional Duties: Clean in assigned areas when needed, such as patient rooms, nurses' stations, examination and treatment rooms, public and patient lavatories, lounges and offices, and public areas including window washing.
- Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
- Experience: Prior environmental services experience and/or within 30 days of hire demonstrate proficiency through our pre- and post-assessment.
- Communication Skills: Ability to communicate through the oral and/or written process and ability to follow directions.
This position requires the ability to remain in a stationary position, traverse or move around work location, use keyboard, operate or use department specific equipment, ascend/descend equipment or ladder, position self to accomplish the Essential Functions of the role, receive and communicate information and ideas for understanding, transport, position, and/or exert force.
