Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain a sterile and aseptic environment for surgical procedures.
  • Assist surgeons and other medical staff during operations, ensuring the smooth execution of procedures.
  • Organize and prepare case set-ups, including instruments, supplies, and equipment.
  • Communicate effectively with the surgical team to anticipate and meet the needs of the surgeon.
  • Provide patient care according to diagnosis and procedure, utilizing procedure cards and established hospital policies.
  • Document procedure changes and outcomes according to standard operating procedures.
  • Participate in quality indicator measurements and outcomes.
  • Perform pain assessments and take appropriate action.
Requirements
  • Unlicensed Assistive Person - Technician (UAP/T) certification or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensure.
  • Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program or military training program.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Work Schedule

Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, with varying shifts, including 7-3, 9-5, 11-7, or 12-8. Additional weekday and weekend call may be required.
