Full-time/Day Shift LPN - 8 Hour Shifts
Key Responsibilities:
OBJECTIVE:
Deliver nursing care and services in accordance with the standards and scope of nursing practice as defined by state regulations, policies, and procedures.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
- Assess patient health and provide basic care while adhering to the nursing process within the LPN/LVN scope of practice to achieve care plan objectives.
- Model customer service expectations and maintain a sense of urgency regarding patient safety.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure that patients' physical, psychological, social, developmental, and cultural needs are met, addressing any complaints effectively.
- Ensure patient comfort and implement individualized nursing interventions as outlined in the care plan.
- Apply appropriate measures to facilitate patient wellness and maintain health.
- Engage with patients regarding their care and listen to their concerns, reporting any changes to registered nurses and physicians.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, visitors, colleagues, and others involved in patient care.
- Administer medications safely in compliance with policies, procedures, and physician orders.
- Uphold professional nursing standards in line with facility policies, external governing bodies, and performance improvement standards.
- Ensure thorough and accurate documentation of patient symptoms, responses, and progress.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES:
- Perform other related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program is required.
- One or more years of nursing experience in a clinical setting is preferred.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:
- Current LPN/LVN license as mandated by state regulations.
- CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training provided upon hire).
- First aid certification may be necessary based on state or facility requirements.
