Blaster Technician

Calgon Carbon Corporation is seeking a skilled Blaster Technician to join our team at the Neville Island Equipment and Assembly facility in Pittsburgh, PA. As a Blaster Technician, you will play a critical role in the fabrication and maintenance of our products and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Abrasive blasts interior and exterior of tanks and piping systems to achieve the specified SSPC surface cleanliness and surface profile.
• Inspects interior and exterior lining and coating systems on purchased and produced equipment.
• Prepares equipment for painting and coating by cleaning, solvent wiping, taping and papering prior to painting.
• Visually inspects own work for defects and noncompliance to specifications and makes necessary repairs.
• Ambient condition monitoring and reporting.

Requirements:

• High School diploma or Trade School certification required.
• Minimum of one (1) to two (2) years industrial laboring experience required.
• Valid PA drivers license required.
• Ability to operate Hand Tools, Forklift, lift up to 70 lbs and climb ladders.
