Janitorial Position at Merchants Building Maintenance

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Janitorial Specialist to join our team at Merchants Building Maintenance, LLC. As a Janitorial Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for our clients and employees.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform all-purpose cleaning and preservation of assigned areas, including buildings, hospitals, warehouses, shopping malls, and other facilities.
  • Empty and clean waste containers, stock restrooms with paper supplies and hand soap, and handle emergency clean-ups.
  • Remove waste paper, garbage, and recycling from the premises, and damp wipe containers.
  • Dust all image frames, charts, graphs, and wall hangings from high to low heights, and damp dirt all ceiling air conditioning ducts, partition grilles, register, and other ventilating units.
  • Vacuum all mats and carpeted areas in the workplace, lobbies, and corridors, and hand dust and clean all office furnishings, files, fixtures, paneling, window sills, and all other flat surfaces.
  • Keep slop sink rooms in a dirt-free, tidy, and arranged condition, and wipe, clean, buff, and polish all metal hardware fixtures.
  • Appropriately clean tile floor services as required, and follow all safety and workers' rules and regulations.
  • Damp wipe and buff all glass furnishings, and dust and/or wash all index boards as necessary, eliminating fingerprints and smudges.
  • Clean entry door glass indoors and outer surface, brush or dust mop restroom and common area floors, and clean or damp mop exterior entry areas.
  • Remove all stains from vertical surfaces such as doors, door frames, around light switches, private entrance glass, and dividers, and wash, clean, and sterilize all water coolers/refrigerators.
  • Bush, with a broom, all private stairways, and vacuum if carpeted, and keep watch over stairwells and clean or damp mop spillage.
  • Damp, wash, or clean any spillage in office and community areas as necessary, and disinfect all touch points and areas that need to be disinfected.
Requirements:
  • Good verbal communication skills.
  • Able to work well with all levels of employees and managers.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
  • Ability to perform the job with minimal supervision.
  • Regular and timely attendance.
Qualifications:
  • High School Education or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a similar capacity and environment.
