Staff Accountant Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant to join our dynamic team at Allworld Project Management LLC. In this role, you will be instrumental in handling the company's financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting laws and regulations, and preparing financial reports.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate and compliant financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
  • Develop and maintain internal control procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.
  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting activities, including reconciliations of bank and credit card accounts, and review financial reports as necessary.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements to recommend efficiency improvements and cost reductions.
  • Prepare and adjust journal entries, complete general ledger operations, and manage payroll processing.
  • Conduct variance analysis and prepare financial reports for management on a regular basis.
  • Manage inventory accounting and maintain records of assets and depreciations.
  • Prepare and present departmental financial status reports.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's and Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in financial reporting.
  • Proven work experience as an Accountant or in a similar role.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Proficiency with accounting software and databases, such as QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle.
  • Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills.
  • Ability to prepare, review, and understand financial statements.
  • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
  • Knowledge of accounting procedures, including accounts receivable/payable.
  • Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Capacity to meet tight deadlines.
