Civil Designer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Civil Designer to join our team at Cash Waggner & Associates. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for preparing drawings with CADD, assisting in plan preparation, and focusing on land surveying and civil engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed drawings and plans using CADD software
  • Assist in plan preparation, including information gathering and production
  • Identify specific information from large datasets and written reports
  • Read and understand survey notes, plans, and technical specifications
  • Transfer information accurately from various sources to final plans and maps
  • Develop and implement custom automated drafting and design procedures

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in AutoCad, Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Ability to manage office functions economically and efficiently
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • BS in Civil Engineering or related degree preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting and computer work
  • Lifting up to 15 pounds
  • Travel to project sites
