Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare food according to specifications during operational hours.
  • Accurately measure, portion, and prepare all food items while adhering to quality standards and departmental policies.
  • Retrieve necessary items from storage areas for food preparation.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of food, utensils, and equipment.
  • Label, date, and wrap food products in compliance with ServSafe procedures.
  • Perform opening, closing, and side work duties as instructed, following proper guidelines.
  • Uphold all health codes and sanitation regulations.
  • Adhere to safety, security, and kitchen procedures.
  • Communicate with the chef regarding any special instructions or training.
  • Complete other assigned duties as necessary.
  • Ensure all tasks and side work are completed to standard by the end of the shift.
  • Prioritize cooking and preparation times for each order to guarantee timely delivery of meals.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in food preparation is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Ability to read and understand prep sheets.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Capability to memorize and replicate recipe and menu item production procedures.
  • Proficient in safely using kitchen tools (knives and small equipment).
  • Ability to follow instructions accurately.

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent standing and/or walking for the duration of the shift.
  • Manual dexterity sufficient for chopping, mixing, blending, and whipping various foods and liquids.
  • Ability to move quickly and coordinate multiple orders.
  • Capability to lift items as needed.
