As a Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for evaluating, planning, and administering physical therapy treatment to patients in accordance with physician referral, state and national organizational standards, and established departmental policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate patients' functional abilities and limitations, and determine if intervention is needed.
  • Establish a plan of care and treatment goals, and complete comprehensive evaluations within established time frames.
  • Implement individualized treatment plans, considering patients' physical, social, spiritual, cultural, educational, and age-specific needs.
  • Document patient information, treatment plans, and progress according to professional practice guidelines.
  • Communicate with patients, families, caregivers, physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Exhibit adaptability in assignments, caseload, scheduling, and staffing shifts, and take initiative to assist in other patient care areas.
  • Supervise and delegate personnel to achieve safe delivery of quality, cost-effective patient care.
  • Participate in departmental and facility process improvement, and meet productivity standards set by the department.

Requirements:

  • Graduation from an APTA-accredited school of Physical Therapy or equivalent.
  • Current Physical Therapy license within the State of practice.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Ability to become proficient with computer software applications commonly used in an automated patient care environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional related education and/or experience.
