Program Implementation and Supervision
The Recreation and Leisure Director will oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of sports and fitness programs at the Boys and Girls Clubs of Carson. This role requires a strong understanding of youth development principles, program design, and delivery methods.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive sports and fitness programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
- Supervise staff members, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure effective program delivery.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to establish partnerships, secure sponsorships, and promote program participation.
- Maintain accurate records of program participation, evaluation, and assessment data.
- Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging issues in youth recreation and fitness.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in Recreation, Education, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in program management, preferably in a youth-focused organization.
- Proven track record of successfully leading teams, managing budgets, and achieving program goals.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Certifications in first aid, CPR, and AED operation.
Compensation and Benefits
