Job Title: Network Administration Des Moines IA Hybrid

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Administration professional to join our team in Des Moines, IA. This is a hybrid role that requires both on-site and remote work.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage routers, switches, and firewalls to ensure security, performance, and availability of services.
  • Configure and maintain secure network infrastructure in accordance with security standards and best practices.
  • Provide network architecture support, including infrastructure assessments, creation of logical and conceptual network diagrams, monitoring, analysis, problem resolution, and changes.
  • Manage networks and systems to prevent unauthorized access while ensuring efficient transmission.
  • Perform log management and monitoring.
  • Plan, schedule, and implement access through firewalls in line with security standards and best practices.
  • Adhere to defined incident/change management processes.
  • Collaborate with other technical teams and business owners.
  • Work with customers to develop testing and implementation schedules as needed.
  • Maintain and update technical documentation of the environment.
Requirements:
  • Strong knowledge of network switching, routing, IP addressing, and Internet connectivity.
  • Senior-level technical support experience in a complex enterprise networking environment, including analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Thorough working knowledge of IP networking.
  • Experience with security and firewall administration, including data network implementation.
  • Experience with advanced diagnostics equipment and tools, routing protocols, network management tools, remote access, Ethernet, and WAN technologies.
  • Experience with F5 and Visio.
  • Strong preference for experience implementing Cloud technologies.
  • Strong preference for Unix scripting skills (e.g., Perl, Bash, TCL, cURL).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with VMware implementation and administration.

This is a challenging role that requires a strong understanding of network architecture and firewall management. If you have experience with Cisco, Palo Alto, and F5, and are familiar with AWS and Azure cloud networking, we encourage you to apply.
