Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at Waupaca Foundry, Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, troubleshooting equipment issues, and making repairs as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks on equipment throughout the plant
  • Identify and troubleshoot equipment problems, working with electricians and other teams as needed
  • Repair or replace worn or defective parts, reassemble, and test equipment
  • Make routine repairs, such as replacing motors, bearings, valves, belts, and conveyors
  • Assist with electrical repair as directed
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and equipment
  • Use precision measuring equipment, such as micrometers and depth gauges
  • Follow all safety rules and regulations
Requirements
  • 2-3 years of trade training or equivalent experience
  • Ability to read and work from drawings, charts, parts lists, and service manuals
  • Ability to correspond with outside vendors when troubleshooting equipment
  • Ability to collect data and draw valid conclusions pertaining to equipment problems
  • Physical ability to sit, stand, walk, use hands and fingers, and lift up to 50lbs regularly and up to 75lbs occasionally
