Air Quality Systems Technician

- Utilize and manage all equipment related to duct cleaning.
- Access, disassemble, and clean components of air distribution systems.
- Promote additional products and services during the execution of duct cleaning tasks.
- Complete all necessary documentation related to job performance promptly.
- Maintain a well-organized and adequately stocked service vehicle. Perform refurbishing tasks on Air Handling Units (AHUs), which includes cleaning and sanitizing, upgrading filters, applying coatings, and replacing coils, motors, and bearings as required.
- Build and maintain customer relationships by addressing concerns, identifying solutions, and recommending enhancements to systems.
- Ensure personal equipment is functioning correctly by adhering to operational guidelines, troubleshooting issues, maintaining supplies, and performing preventive maintenance.
- Document all service and cleaning activities through forms, reports, logs, and records. Stay updated on industry knowledge by engaging in educational opportunities and reviewing professional literature.
- Contribute to the overall mission of the organization by achieving related outcomes as necessary. This job description is not intended to encompass all duties associated with the position.
- Completion of a Technical/Trade School program with a certificate in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning, or a minimum of two years of relevant experience, or a combination of education and experience.
- Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Demonstrated reliability and strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Willingness to undergo pre-employment screenings, including background checks and drug testing.
- Basic knowledge of duct mechanics and its impact on Indoor Air Quality; mechanical experience is advantageous.

This role involves working outdoors, in mechanical rooms, and potentially in extreme weather conditions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and heavy equipment, as well as wet and/or humid conditions, high places, fumes or airborne particles, outside weather conditions, electrical hazards, and vibrations. The employee may occasionally encounter toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold, and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is typically loud.
