Cardiac Sonographer

As a skilled echocardiographer at UVM Health Network - Central Vermont Medical Center, you will perform complex cardiac ultrasonographic procedures under the supervision of the Director of Cardiology. Your expertise will involve applying non-ionizing high frequency ultrasonic waves to diagnose and treat cardiac conditions. You will work within the scope of practice of Cardiology Services and adhere to hospital policies and procedures.
Education and Experience
An Associate's degree in radiologic technology or equivalent education/experience in a related healthcare field is required. RDCS registry is preferred, and BLS Training is mandatory. A minimum of 1 year experience in cardiac ultrasound is necessary for this role.
Responsibilities
Support the philosophy, objectives, and goals of the hospital by providing high-quality patient care and contributing to a positive work environment. Functions within the scope of practice of Cardiology Services and adheres to hospital policies and procedures. Performs a variety of highly technical cardiac ultrasonographic procedures through the application of non-ionizing high frequency ultrasonic waves. Supports the Director of Cardiology in the supervision of echocardiography services. Maintains accurate records and reports as required.
