Job Summary:

The Industrial Athletic Trainer will play a crucial role in developing and implementing a comprehensive worksite injury management and health improvement program for employees. This position requires a strong focus on injury prevention and evaluation, ergonomic risk assessments, and corrective action planning.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and Implement Site-Specific Wellness Initiatives: Create and execute programs to promote employee health and wellness, including ergonomic risk assessments and corrective action planning.
  • Provide First-Aid Treatment and Management: Offer immediate care and management for musculoskeletal complaints, including the use of ice, heat, wellness stretches, massage, tape techniques, and non-rigid bracing.
  • Conduct Ergonomic Risk Analyses: Identify and assess potential ergonomic hazards in the workplace to prevent injuries and improve employee safety.
  • Coordinate and Implement Treatment Plans: Work with employees to develop and implement treatment plans that incorporate therapeutic exercise, modalities, and work conditioning as necessary.
  • Collect and Analyze Data: Gather and analyze data to track program effectiveness and make data-driven decisions to improve employee health and safety.
  • Communicate with Safety Personnel: Regularly communicate with safety personnel to ensure alignment and coordination of injury prevention and wellness initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a Related Field: A degree in athletic training, exercise science, or a related field is required.
  • Board of Certification (BOC) Certification: BOC certification is required for this position.
  • State Licensure/Certification: State licensure or certification is required for this position.
  • Current First Aid/CPR/AED Certification: Current certification in first aid, CPR, and AED is required.
  • Strong Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required to build relationships with clients and employees.
