**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Laboratory Specialist to join our team at The University Of Iowa. As a key member of our Clinical Laboratories team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our department.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert nursing care to patients undergoing apheresis procedures.
  • Develop and implement effective patient care plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
  • Maintain accurate records and data collection using electronic medical records.
  • Collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure efficient operation of equipment and high-quality patient care.
  • Participate in quality control and preventive maintenance of equipment to ensure optimal performance.

The Department of Pathology at The University Of Iowa is part of UI Health Care, a comprehensive health sciences center serving Iowa and the region. Our Clinical Laboratories are renowned for providing outstanding and comprehensive care to patients.

Requirements:

  • An Associate's Degree in Nursing or higher from an accredited institution.
  • A current license to practice professional nursing in Iowa.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • General computer skills and experience with electronic medical records.
