Job Summary

The Automotive Mechanic will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing various ground equipment, including tugs, belt loaders, and deicing equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair ground equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues using technical knowledge and problem-solving skills
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes and tire rotations
  • Assist in the training of new team members and provide guidance on equipment operation and maintenance
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless operations and efficient use of resources
Requirements
  • At least one year of experience in automotive or ground service equipment maintenance
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Valid, unrestricted state-issued driver's license
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • ASE certifications in brakes, steering and suspension, electrical and diesel engines
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Automotive schooling or equivalent experience
