Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance & Custodial Technician to join our team at the Rocky Mount Readiness Center. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining the safety, quality, and efficiency of our buildings and grounds.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Regional Operational Maintenance Managers in maintenance, repair, and minor construction of buildings and grounds
  • Provide high-quality, cost-effective, and timely building and grounds maintenance
  • Serve as primary preventative Maintenance & Custodial Technician for the Rocky Mount Readiness Center
  • Perform various tasks, including carpentry, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical work
  • Read and interpret drawings and blueprints
  • Operate various ladders, lifts, and custodial and mowing equipment
  • Lift a minimum of 50 pounds
Requirements
  • Documented trade experience in carpentry, HVAC, plumbing, or electrical
  • Ability to read drawings and blueprints
  • Valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record
  • Essential physical and mental capabilities, including interpersonal skills, memory, attention to detail, and ability to follow directions
  • Ability to use various ladders, lifts, and custodial and mowing equipment
  • Lift a minimum of 50 pounds
Preferred Qualifications
  • Virginia Herbicide/Pesticide Certification
