Travel Nurse RN Specialist

Magnet Medical is seeking a travel nurse RN specialist to work in a medical-surgical unit with a focus on telemetry monitoring.
Job Overview- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with various conditions, including cardiovascular issues and respiratory conditions.
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs, perform assessments, and collaborate with healthcare teams.
A Registered Nurse (RN) – MedSurg/Telemetry provides care to patients requiring continuous monitoring. These patients may have acute illnesses or injuries that require close attention. The RN in this role ensures the safety, comfort, and optimal recovery of patients through administering medications, interpreting telemetry data, and collaborating with healthcare teams.
Key Responsibilities:- Patient Assessment and Monitoring:
- Perform comprehensive and continuous assessments of patients, evaluating vital signs, heart rhythms, and overall condition.
- Monitor and interpret telemetry data to detect any irregularities in heart rate, rhythm, and other vital parameters, notifying the healthcare team if needed.
- Administer prescribed medications, ensuring proper dosing and timing.
- Monitor patients for side effects and adverse reactions to medications, immediately reporting any issues to the physician or healthcare team.
- Monitor patients with telemetry units to assess heart rate, rhythm, and overall cardiac health.
- Assist in the interpretation of telemetry readings, ensuring prompt intervention for any abnormal findings such as arrhythmias, tachycardia, or bradycardia.
- Follow infection control protocols to prevent the spread of infections.
- Ensure patient safety by regularly assessing for fall risks, managing medications safely, and preventing hospital-acquired infections.
The estimated salary range for this position is $125,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Magnet Medical offers a competitive tax-free stipend package and a comprehensive benefits plan, including health insurance, retirement savings, and paid time off.
This is a 13-week contract with 48 hours per week. Pay package based on 12 hour shifts. Salary: estimated $100-120 per hour.
