Job Summary:

Perdue Farms, a leading agricultural products and services company, is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at our facility in Cofield, NC.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on mechanical equipment to ensure optimal performance and extend equipment lifespan.
  • Diagnose and repair equipment failures, including mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Rebuild and fabricate mechanical equipment as needed.
  • Compile and complete paperwork related to repairs, including work orders, time cards, and job cards.
  • Perform all work in accordance with safety guidelines established by local, state, and federal agencies, as well as company policies.
  • Respond to emergency calls after hours and on weekends to repair mechanical equipment failures.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Advanced electrical training preferred.
  • Valid state driver's license.
  • Satisfactory DOT drug test and physical.

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements:

  • Able to move freely throughout the facility, including climbing vertical heights and carrying tools and equipment.
  • Exposure to extreme temperatures, humidity, noise, and chemicals.
  • Must be able to wear protective equipment, including self-contained breathing apparatus.
  • Required to travel to remote facilities.
