Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team at Memorial Hermann Rockets Orthopedic Hospital. This is a full-time position working 6am-3pm, Monday-Friday, with no weekends, holidays, or call. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of surgical technologist experience, preferably in orthopedic surgery.

Responsibilities
  • Provide expert perioperative patient care through the use of equipment and instrumentation.
  • Function as a scrub assistant to the physician performing operative and/or invasive procedures.
  • Work under the direction of a Registered Nurse and as outlined in the Surgical Technologist Skills Inventory.
  • Use knowledge and expertise to act as a role model and resource for other staff.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a Surgical Technologist Program or Licensed as an LVN in the State of Texas who has completed an internship.
  • Certified in Basic Life Support.
  • Grandfathered Surgical Technologists must have been actively employed to practice surgical technology in a hospital or ambulatory surgery center since before September 1, 2009.
