Key Responsibilities- Examine patients with a range of visual problems, taking a thorough case history and reviewing medical records as needed.
- Conduct comprehensive eye exams, using a variety of optometric instruments and techniques to diagnose visual deficiencies and prescribe corrective lenses.
- Prescribe and fit contact lenses, as well as low-vision aids such as telescopic and microscopic lenses, magnifiers, and other optical devices.
- Diagnose and treat ocular emergencies, prescribing medications as necessary.
- Refer patients to other healthcare providers as needed for further evaluation and treatment.
- Participate in departmental and educational meetings, including peer review activities.
- Graduation from an accredited college of optometry with a Doctor of Optometry degree.
- Optometrist License (Colorado) and Optometric TPA Certification (Colorado) required.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and provide excellent patient care.
