Job Summary:

The Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst is responsible for ensuring developed solutions meet business requirements, are free of defects, and the quality of the product/application is achieved. This role involves working independently to identify and define required tests, as well as capturing detailed testing progress, defects, and results during each testing cycle, evaluating the overall usability of the IT solution.

Key Responsibilities:

Participate in requirements meetings and functional design document review meetings to understand requirements to better author the test cases for the project
Work closely with business analysts and the business to clarify requirements
Prepare project test plans and testing closure according to standard templates and adhere to company policies, standards, and guidelines
Learn new tools identified for use on a project
Prepare test scenarios (based on project needs)
Prepare test data and ensure that the QA environment is ready for test case execution, including interfaces
Prepare and execute test cases and maintain user story traceability against user stories/requirements
Manage defect management, including identification of QAT defects and remediation tracking by maintaining traceability to user stories
Prepare and ensure sprint sign offs after each sprint, or as required, and obtain sign off from product owners
Work with UX/UI designers to assist them adding defect(s) or raising defects in their absence
Work closely with QA specialists on complex projects and on unique deliverables for projects
Adhere to all QA processes and procedures
Ensure all QA responsible SEM documents identified for the project are completed, reviewed, and approved in alignment with area processes

Requirements:

7+ years of experience performing quality assurance and software testing with a thorough understanding of testing concepts and methods in manual and automated testing
7+ years of experience testing Java-based applications and Oracle databases
7+ years of experience developing Agile testing strategies and test plans for multiple related projects
7+ years of experience working independently and within a team environment
5+ years of testing experience in the implementation of Agile and Waterfall development projects
5+ years of experience writing and documenting test cases in DevOps or other Agile tools
5+ years of experience reviewing, understanding, and translating Agile user stories to prepare test cases/scripts
2+ years of experience coding with Java to write test automation scripts with Selenium preferred
5+ years of experience writing test scripts with automation tools preferred
5+ years of experience coordinating Agile automated testing with QA and development teams preferred
A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field required; A Master's Degree in a relevant field preferred
