Position Summary:
The Golf Shop Service Associate plays a crucial role in promoting the sport of golf and representing the Club while delivering outstanding service to our Members and guests. This position involves managing the golf shop's operations, ensuring quality service, and overseeing merchandise procurement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver friendly and efficient customer service in the pro shop, accurately processing transactions and checking in all golfers prior to their rounds. This includes adhering to cash handling protocols and operational standards.
- Handle inquiries and schedule tee times for Members and guests, both in-person and via phone, while maintaining a calm, professional demeanor, especially during busy periods.
- Manage inventory control, merchandise check-in, and the organization of storage and display areas, ensuring that essential items are consistently stocked.
- Assist with marshaling, starting, and providing outside services as required.
- Support the Head Golf Professional, General Manager, and Tournament Coordinators with shop-related tasks.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in customer service, with a foundational understanding of golf.
- Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor settings, with exposure to varying weather conditions.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
