Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Grit Blast Operator to join our team at Access Dubuque. As a Grit Blast Operator, you will be responsible for operating robotic grit blast equipment, using walk-behind and sit-down fork trucks, and masking parts for paint after grit blasting.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate robotic grit blast equipment to clean and prepare parts for painting
  • Use walk-behind and sit-down fork trucks to move materials and equipment
  • Mask parts for paint after grit blasting to ensure a smooth finish
  • Follow standardized work procedures and instructions to ensure quality and efficiency
  • Complete tasks within timelines and meet production goals
  • Work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with colleagues
  • Be willing to work overtime, including weekends, as needed
  • Have knowledge of Lean Manufacturing practices and apply them to improve processes
  • Work in a fast-paced, hot environment and lift up to 45 lbs
  • Follow safety and quality procedures to ensure a safe and healthy work environment

Requirements:

  • Experience with fork trucks and robotic equipment preferred
  • Valid driver's license and high school diploma or equivalent required
  • Ability to follow standardized work procedures and instructions
  • Ability to complete tasks within timelines and meet production goals
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly
  • Ability to work overtime, including weekends, as needed
