Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician to join our team at HomeTown Food Company. As a Maintenance Electrician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining plant machinery and equipment, including mixers, conveyors, compressors, motors, and pumps. You will also be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, or replacing electrical control devices, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical power components.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and repair plant machinery and equipment
  • Troubleshoot, repair, or replace electrical control devices
  • Troubleshoot, repair, or replace hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical power components
  • Responsible for troubleshooting and repairing equipment by utilizing PLC's (Allen Bradley) and other multiple automated control systems
  • Perform work order repairs, inspections, and adjustments as well as preventative and predictive maintenance tasks
  • Work closely with production and refrigeration personnel to effectively resolve and eliminate plant and process problems
  • Responsible for daily communication of all pertinent information to department manager
  • Cross train maintenance and production operators to obtain adequate coverage across all shifts
  • Assist management in developing standard operating procedures, and duty cycles for all repairs and maintenance, relating to process and packaging equipment
Requirements
  • High School diploma
  • Technical College/PLC Certification Course preferred
  • Electrical/PLC/pneumatic/mechanical/basic electrical skills required
  • Experience in a food manufacturing and packaging environment preferred

Equipment Used

Electrical meters, maintenance tools, computers (Microsoft office)

Physical Requirements

Frequent standing, bending, and climbing around equipment inside and outside of the facility

Employee must be able to regularly move or lift 50# loads
