Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate all aspects of litigation case management, including file management, case calendaring, discovery, and trial activities.
  • Oversee the tasks of junior paralegals and support staff, providing guidance and training as needed to ensure seamless execution of litigation matters.
  • Interact with external entities, such as courts, agencies, and vendors, to gather information and coordinate activities in support of firm activities.
  • Draft, review, and analyze routine legal documents, conduct research, and provide expert advice to attorneys as needed.
  • Develop and maintain processes to collect, store, and maintain paper and electronic case files, ensuring compliance with firm and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate and prepare for trials, arbitrations, and hearings, including managing exhibits, witness lists, and other critical documents.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, best practices, and new technologies, applying this knowledge to improve firm processes and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree and Paralegal certificate preferred.
  • At least 7 years of experience as a litigation paralegal in a large law firm environment.
  • Proven track record of managing complex litigation matters, including experience with court and administrative agency filings.
  • Proficiency in using litigation software, such as Concordance, Relativity, Ringtail, LiveNote, and CaseMap.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with attorneys, clients, and external stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound judgments.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
