About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to join our team at CBRE Global Workplace Solutions (GWS). As a key member of our Engineering and Technical Services team, you will be responsible for maintaining mechanical and electrical equipment for commercial HVAC systems at facilities.

This role is part of our hard services-led, tailored facility management solution. We self-perform hard services while partnering with best-in-class soft service providers to offer custom facility and project management solutions to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, repair, adjust, and maintain small electric or pneumatic control systems used for building heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems and equipment.
  • Conduct ongoing maintenance on building HVAC equipment to ensure proper operation of equipment and compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and work safety.
  • Troubleshoot equipment failures and determine best course of action for equipment modifications.
  • Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems while having a limited opportunity to exercise discretion.
  • Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance.

Requirements:

  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Valid driver's license required.
  • Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
  • Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
  • Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
  • Certification in one of the following preferred: HVAC and refrigeration systems, process controls, of CFC Certification.
