As an Education Professional, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and supervising activities and programs that promote the physical, educational, and emotional development of our members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program Development: Design and implement engaging and educational programs that align with the Boys & Girls Club's mission and goals.
- Member Engagement: Foster positive relationships with members, providing guidance, role modeling, and mentoring to support their development.
- Curriculum Implementation: Implement the Club's curriculum, including Power Hour and Tutoring programs, to ensure members receive a high-quality educational experience.
- Display and Bulletin Board Design: Create visually appealing displays and bulletin boards that promote the Club's activities and events.
- First Aid and CPR: Maintain current First Aid and CPR certifications to ensure the health and safety of members and staff.
Requirements:
- Education: A college degree in Youth Development or a related field, or a high school diploma/GED/college degree with 1-2 years of program delivery experience.
- Experience: 3-4 years of program delivery experience for Certified Teachers, or 1-2 years of program delivery experience for Education Specialists.
- Skills: Good communication skills, knowledge of youth development, and the ability to cultivate positive relationships with youth.
- Language: Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.
Working Conditions:
- Environment: After-school/recreational settings.
- Occasional Weekend Work: Occasional weekend work for fundraising events and activities.
