Job Title: Technical Business Analyst

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Business Analyst to join our team at Blue Chip Talent. As a Technical Business Analyst, you will play a critical role in facilitating and leading requirements gathering sessions with diverse groups for complex projects and tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Balance the need for business and technical analysis to ensure the team can effectively plan both projects and individual sprints
  • Engage comfortably with both business stakeholders and technical teams, leading internal QA by defining project success and guiding business partners through User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
  • Assist in validating technical deliverables for completeness, accuracy, and quality
  • Develop wireframes, mockups, and potential prototypes to visualize project outcomes
  • Possess knowledge of Python, SQL, Git, and other technical tools relevant to data team development
  • Facilitate project estimating/sizing and work with the team to identify and manage dependencies
  • Serve as a liaison and subject matter expert for assigned areas, supporting the Data team with analytical tasks, research, and responding to business unit inquiries
  • Identify non-functional requirements such as usability, performance, security, portability, and service levels
  • Collaborate proactively with all project team roles to ensure the overall quality and success of initiatives
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the organization's products, systems, programs, and business processes
  • Undertake additional assignments related to areas of expertise and provide support to the Project Manager when necessary
  • Assist business units with root cause analysis for process-related issues
  • Perform and document cost-benefit analyses for proposed business solutions
  • Analyze the impact of system changes on business processes to ensure seamless continuity
  • Provide insights into how business processes and applications interact across the organization
  • Be familiar with AWS components, their features, and functionalities

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or in a similar role
  • At least 4 years of experience in quality assurance
  • 1 year of experience with SQL and Jira
  • Must have experience working in Agile environments
  • Experience in drafting wireframes and developing storyboards
  • Proven expertise in project management and administration
  • Skilled in mapping process flow diagrams involving both system and human elements
  • 3 years of experience writing SQL queries and analyzing results
