Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at the Lutheran Home. As a valued member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality care to our residents, working collaboratively with our team of healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide skilled professional nursing care to residents, as prescribed by physicians and in compliance with regulations.
  • Obtain reports from nurses being relieved and record necessary information for follow-up action.
  • Verify medication counts and provide daily reports to nurses coming on duty.
  • Monitor dining rooms during mealtimes to ensure residents receive proper diet and assistance.
  • Perform comprehensive assessments of residents and document care provided.
  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians and accurately record all care provided.
  • Observe residents for changes in condition and report these changes to attending physicians, families, and supervisory nursing staff.
  • Provide education to residents and their families on disease processes, medications, diet, safety, and other medical issues.
  • Identify special nursing problems and emergency situations, and initiate immediate action as needed.

Requirements
  • Current unrestricted LPN license in the state of Missouri
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems preferred
  • CPR certification
