Job Summary

Sutter Health is seeking a skilled Cancer Registrar II to join our team. As a Cancer Registrar II, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of cancer data for reportable malignancies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect and maintain accurate data for all reportable malignancies, including benign tumors.
  • Review patient medical records, including imaging, pathology, treatment summaries, and physician's office notes.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry changes and regulatory requirements.
  • Utilize knowledge of cancer disease processes, tumor nomenclature, medical terminology, and anatomy to make informed decisions.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in a health-related field.
  • Completion of an accredited Cancer Registrar training program.
  • Oncology Data Specialist (ODS) certification.
  • 1 year of recent relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, CNExT, and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
