Project Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer - Bridge to join our bridge and roadway team in Colorado Springs. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing detailed engineering tasks, including structural analysis, project design, cost estimates, and design calculations. You will also prepare project documents, adhere to project scope, schedule, and budget to ensure alignment with project objectives.

Responsibilities- Perform detailed engineering tasks such as structural analysis, project design, cost estimates, and design calculations utilizing advanced knowledge and experience.
- Prepare project documents and adhere to project scope, schedule, and budget to ensure alignment with project objectives.
- Independently perform complex assignments that require development of new and improved techniques and procedures.
- Work closely with project managers on execution of design work, reports overall progress, and informs project managers of any potential challenges to ensure project goals and objectives are met.
- Assist with project scope of work and schedule or portions of them and may attend client meetings.
- May supervise, coordinate, and review work for less experienced staff members.
- Maintain project and client information in the firm's project management system.
- May travel and work in all types of terrain and weather conditions at project sites in various stages of construction.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience.
- Must be a registered professional engineer.
- Proficiency with AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design.
- Experience with bridge analysis and design programs (LARSA, LEAP Bridge Enterprise, Lpile, SPColumn, MDX).
- Experience designing plate girder and prestressed concrete bridges using AASHTO LRFD.
- Ability to make independent decisions on engineering problems and select appropriate structural solutions that are cost effective and constructible.
- Working with multi-discipline team of engineers and technicians.
- Occasional site visits/inspection work.
- Mentoring technical staff.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
