About the Role

EnSafe is seeking a highly skilled GIS Technician/Analyst to join our team in Jacksonville, Florida, or Nashville, TN. As an employee-owned, global environmental consulting and engineering firm, we provide cutting-edge solutions for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage client data and perform regular database extractions to ensure timely data updates.
  • Develop custom Python script tools to manipulate data sets and create maps for analysis and presentations.
  • Explore Python language to develop similar scripts and improve data manipulation capabilities.
  • Utilize survey-precision GPS equipment to update municipal asset data and ensure accuracy.
  • Determine the location, documentation, and digitization of construction/as-built drawings.
  • Create and edit maps from digitization and extraction of aerial photography and commercial imagery.
  • Design and develop a population estimation and visualization application to illustrate the makeup of populations surrounding regulated facilities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in GIS or a related field is required.
  • Experience with ArcGIS 10.x, ArcSDE, ArcGIS Online, and various Esri apps (Collector, Survey 123, etc.) is essential.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as a strong work ethic, are necessary.
  • Ability to follow directions and communicate effectively is crucial.
  • Commitment to quality, accuracy, and attention to detail is required.
Preferred Skills
  • Programming experience is a plus.
  • Professional Certification: PreGISP or GISP is desirable.
  • Experience with GPS field data collection is required (DroneDeploy, Trimble, Collect).
  • FAA Drone Certified is a plus.
