Perioperative Nurse

Catholic Health Service is seeking a skilled Perioperative Nurse to coordinate total nursing care for the perioperative patient. The ideal candidate will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, while participating in patient and family teaching.
This role requires strong leadership skills, working cooperatively with ancillary, nursing, and other patient team personnel to maintain standards for professional nursing practice in the surgical setting.
Responsibilities- Assess and plan patient care to ensure optimal outcomes
- Implement and evaluate patient care plans, making adjustments as needed
- Participate in patient and family teaching to promote health and wellness
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to maintain high-quality patient care
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- BSN strongly preferred
- Maintains a current New York State Professional License
- BLS within 6 months of hire
- One (1) year Med/Surg experience
This role is subject to inside environmental conditions and requires the ability to cope with stress. The nurse must be available for extra and on-call duties.
