Role Summary

Join our dynamic team at Apptad Inc as a Lead QA Automation Engineer, where you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the quality assurance processes within our software engineering teams. This position involves spearheading automation initiatives and guiding teams in the development of their testing frameworks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive automation strategy tailored for our Digital systems.
  • Collaborate closely with development teams to design and execute automated testing solutions that ensure the highest quality of deliverables.
  • Standardize test planning and execution processes to enhance overall quality outcomes.
  • Work alongside Product Management and Engineering to establish quality metrics and tracking mechanisms.
  • Maintain transparency regarding quality status, including issues and metrics, through regular reporting to stakeholders.
  • Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders to drive focus on quality objectives.
  • Proactively identify and eliminate obstacles that may hinder project teams from achieving quality standards.
  • Conduct monthly program reviews and provide updates during sprint reviews.
  • Engage in a Quality Center of Excellence to facilitate decision-making and address critical quality challenges.
  • Act as a catalyst for quality improvement initiatives across the organization.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience, preferably in Software Engineering.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of experience in test automation and familiarity with various automation frameworks and tools.
  • Proficient in Azure Cloud environments.
  • Experience with QA automation across multiple application layers, including API, UI, and Data.
  • Strong programming skills and knowledge of best practices in automation tools (e.g., Playwright, Selenium, Postman).
  • Experience with CI/CD tools, particularly Azure DevOps.
  • Ability to work effectively with both onshore and offshore teams.
  • Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle in Agile environments.
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Knowledge of software engineering best practices, including coding standards and testing methodologies.
  • Strong project management and analytical skills.
  • Solid understanding of Risk Management and Risk-Based Testing principles.
