Job Summary:

The Primary Care Physician Leader will provide primary medical care to patients in our clinics located throughout Kitsap and Mason counties and rural Pierce County. This role involves analyzing medical history, reports, findings of tests, and examination to determine conditions/diagnosis and provide appropriate treatments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Practice medicine within the scope of the primary care program
  • Analyze medical history, reports, findings of tests, and examination to determine conditions/diagnosis and provide appropriate treatments
  • Promote health by advising patients about diet, behaviors, and methods for prevention of disease
  • Perform procedures within scope of primary care program and the provider's surgical competency/privileges
  • Refer patients to medical specialists for consultant services when necessary
  • Assist in outreach efforts as requested
  • Share in after-hours coverage and calls as appropriate
  • Mentor Advance Practice Clinicians as needed
  • Family Practice Physicians may provide supervision and review of services provided by Physician Assistants as required by WAC 308-52-141 and Center's practice protocols
  • Familiar with using electronic health records (e.g., Athena)
  • Monitor and oversee relevant provider and care staff to ensure delivery of care

Requirements:

  • Active MD or DO License in Washington State (required)
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible (preferred)
  • MAT Waiver within 120 days of hire (required)
  • Active DEA Certification (required)
  • Active CPR Certification (required)
  • Valid driver's license (required)
