We are seeking a seasoned Insurance Coverage Litigation Attorney to join our team at Jobot. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing legal advice to our clients regarding insurance coverage, policy interpretation, claims, and litigation.
Responsibilities:- Provide legal representation for clients in matters of insurance coverage litigation.
- Draft comprehensive coverage opinions involving first-party breach of contract and/or third-party liability claims and related bad faith issues.
- Defend insurance companies in first-party lawsuits.
- Analyze insurance coverage policies, including commercial and homeowners' policies.
- Prepare and present cases in court, arbitration, and mediation.
- Conduct thorough legal research and due diligence to support case preparation.
- Take and defend depositions.
- Develop strategies and negotiate settlements where appropriate.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance laws and regulations.
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsels, judges, and others involved in the legal process.
- A Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
- Admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in handling insurance coverage matters.
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role.
- Proven experience defending insurance companies in first-party lawsuits.
- Proficiency in drafting coverage opinions involving first-party breach of contract and/or third-party liability claims and related bad faith issues.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze insurance coverage, including commercial and homeowners' policies.
- Strong experience in taking and defending depositions.
- Excellent legal writing and communication skills.
- Exceptional negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong ethical and professional standards.
