We are seeking an experienced Orthotist to join our team at Geisinger in Danville, Pennsylvania.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in orthotics and prosthetics, with the ability to evaluate patients' conditions and determine the necessary treatment.

This is a full-time position that requires minimal travel, approximately 25% or less. The ideal candidate will be certified as an Orthotist by the American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics, and Pedorthics (ABCOP).

The salary for this role is estimated to be around $80,000 - $100,000 per year, based on industry standards and location.

Job Description:
  • Evaluate patients' conditions and determine the necessary treatment
  • Select appropriate prefabricated orthoses or design custom orthoses to alleviate patient limitations and enhance functioning
  • Measure and cast patients, correct and modify positive molds, and provide complete design specifications for the orthosis
  • Fits patients with completed orthoses and adjusts them as necessary to achieve optimal function
  • Provides instruction to patients and families on proper use and care of the orthosis, and provides follow-up care to ensure successful treatment outcomes
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Certification as an Orthotist by the American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics, and Pedorthics (ABCOP)
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a clinical environment
