Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategically manage warehouse operations to ensure compliance with company policies and vision
  • Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution, and maintenance operations to ensure seamless execution
  • Develop and implement efficient space utilization strategies to maximize storage capacity
  • Establish and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures to drive productivity and quality
  • Ensure adherence to all warehousing, handling, and shipping legislation requirements
  • Maintain high standards of health and safety, hygiene, and security in the warehouse
  • Manage stock control and reconcile with data storage systems to ensure accuracy and efficiency
  • Prepare and manage annual budgets to ensure effective resource allocation
  • Liaise with clients, suppliers, and transport companies to ensure smooth logistics operations
  • Plan and assign tasks, appraise results, and motivate employees to achieve excellence
  • Recruit, select, orient, coach, and motivate employees to build a high-performing team
  • Produce regular reports and statistics to monitor warehouse performance and identify areas for improvement
Requirements:
  • Proven work experience as a Warehouse Manager or in a related role
  • Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices
  • Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives to drive efficiency and productivity
  • Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and metrics
  • Hands-on experience with warehouse management software and databases
  • Leadership skills and ability to manage staff effectively
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills to drive results
  • Excellent communication skills to build strong relationships with stakeholders
  • BS degree in logistics, supply chain management, or business administration preferred or equivalent experience
