Job Summary

Radiology Imaging Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Imaging Specialist to join our team at RAYUS Radiology. As a key member of our imaging department, you will be responsible for operating computed tomography (CT) scanners to produce high-quality images of patients' bodies for diagnostic purposes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Imaging Procedures
    • Perform routine and advanced CT procedures on designated portions of the body with minimal supervision or repeats.
    • Screen patients before exams for any precautions or contraindications pertaining to the examination.
    • Explain and prepare patients for CT procedures, ensuring they understand the process and are positioned correctly for scanning.
    • Adjust scan parameters correctly and as needed, utilizing dose reduction techniques as appropriate.
  • Patient Support
    • Maintain a positive attitude and working relationships with radiologists, referring customers, and other associates and peers.
    • Converse with doctors, nurses, patients, and family members as required.
    • Follow physicians' orders precisely and conform to safety regulations to protect patients, coworkers, and yourself.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Accurately maintain patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
    • Maintain an orderly and clean work area, promoting good safety habits for patients and coworkers.
    • Maintain ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements.
    • Maintain equipment in good working order, cleaning and disinfecting after each use.
Requirements
  • Assist with maintaining an updated CT protocol manual and software upgrades.
  • Monitor medical supply inventory and order supplies as necessary.
  • Assist with training of new associates, providing resource and technical expertise.
