Role Identifier:

Are you interested in contributing to the development of pioneering technology in large-scale systems, natural language processing, and artificial intelligence? In this role, you will lay the groundwork by creating, maintaining, and enhancing frameworks that improve the testability of Siri and other AIML-related products. You will integrate products and frameworks that can interact with each other, propose innovative and scalable solutions to bolster our automation infrastructure across various multi-functional teams, thereby enhancing the sustainability and quality of AIML products.

Position Summary:The Machine Learning Systems and Evaluation Engineering (MLSEE) team is focused on developing frameworks and tools that enhance the testability of Siri and other AIML-related products across the entire operating system stack.

Consequently, we are committed to the continuous evolution of our tools and frameworks to ensure the testability and scalability of Siri and AIML products for automation.

Your responsibilities will include designing architectures that facilitate integration in a dynamic environment, building essential APIs, frameworks, and libraries that Development and Evaluation teams can utilize for writing their tests, supporting features, and evaluating them.

Ensure the scalability and sustainability of the framework to address existing challenges and future demands arising from the ongoing growth and support of Apple features and products.

Key Qualifications:
  • 6+ years of experience as a Software Development Engineer.
  • 4+ years of experience in designing and architecting tools and frameworks.
  • Proficient in Machine Learning methodologies.
  • Demonstrated leadership in advancing the development of tools and frameworks aimed at achieving high-quality standards.

Proven Problem-Solving and Debugging Skills:

Ability to analyze and investigate test failures, errors, and build issues, with a proven track record of driving issues to resolution and supporting them with data.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Education & Experience:

BS or MS Degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.

Compensation & Benefits:

At Apple, base pay is one component of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This allows for progression as you grow and develop within your role.

The base pay range for this position is between $175,800 and $312,200, with your base pay dependent on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become shareholders through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.

Employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards and can purchase Apple stock at a discount through the Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
