Structural Design Engineer Position with Competitive Salary

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Design Engineer to join our team at Shive Hattery Group, Inc.
Job OverviewThis is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career engineer to design structural solutions for industrial, commercial, and educational projects. You will work collaboratively with experienced engineers and technicians to deliver high-quality designs for our long-standing clients.
Key Responsibilities:- Design structural elements for various project types, with a focus on industrial sectors.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution.
- Develop and maintain accurate design documentation.
- Perform shop drawing reviews, field data collection, and entry.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis on Structural Engineering.
- Recent graduate or early-career experience as an Engineer Intern (EI).
- PASS or scheduled to take the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam and designation as an Engineer Intern (EI) with interest in obtaining a Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Completion of coursework in steel and concrete; experience with wood and masonry is a plus.
- Experience with Revit, 3D software, and Microsoft Office.
- Strong attention to detail, collaboration skills, and time management abilities.
- Excellent communication skills, including presentation confidence.
