Overview
Geisinger Community Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled Nocturnist Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our Hospital Medicine team. As a key member of our nocturnal care team, you will provide exceptional patient care during nighttime hours.

Responsibilities
Perform initial assessments and triage patients based on relevant information about their condition.
Track and discuss pertinent procedure and laboratory results with physicians, returning calls to families and patients regarding the results and plans.
Assist in arranging follow-up care for patients.
Answer and return phone calls from established patients and their families, assessing their needs and relaying information to them.
Discuss treatment plans with physicians and relay this information to families and patients.
Obtain or assist in the preauthorization process for medications, diagnostic studies, and treatments that the employee is qualified to perform.

Requirements
A Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies (PAS) is required for this role. Additionally, certification as a Certified Physician Assistant (CPA) by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) is necessary.
