The ideal candidate will have 1 year of experience and possess the following qualifications:

  • ARRT (N) National Certification with registration in Nuclear Medicine or NMTCB-CNMT
  • State-specific licensing when required
  • BLS

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist will be responsible for preparing radiopharmaceutical agents and administering them to patients prior to using a scanner or camera to capture images. The successful candidate will provide technical support to physicians and researchers, ensuring the environment is safe for patients and staff.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare radiopharmaceutical agents and administer them to patients
  • Operate the scanner or gamma scintillation camera
  • Perform procedures including injecting radiopharmaceuticals under the direct supervision of a radiologist
  • Provide assistance to patients during procedures
  • Maintain accurate patient records

The successful candidate will be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. A sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology is essential.
