Job Description

The Senior Snack Food Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing daily operations of multiple snack food production lines, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety.

You will coordinate production schedules to meet customer demand while minimizing downtime and optimizing resource utilization.

Additionally, you will ensure production targets, key performance indicators (KPIs), and budget objectives are met or exceeded.

The ideal candidate will lead by example of professionalism and integrity and promote positive morale and open communication among team members.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operational Leadership:
    • Oversee daily operations of multiple snack food production lines.
    • Coordinate production schedules to meet customer demand.
    • Ensure production targets, KPIs, and budget objectives are met or exceeded.
    • Lead by example of professionalism and integrity.
  • Team Management:
    • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of supervisors and hourly employees.
    • Oversee recruitment, training, and development of production staff.
    • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback.
    • Manage employee relations issues.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Implement lean manufacturing practices and continuous improvement strategies.
    • Analyze production data and identify opportunities for improvements.
    • Embrace engineering changes to improve capacity and performance.
  • Safety and Compliance:
    • Ensure all production activities comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.
    • Promote a culture of safety and conduct regular safety audits.
  • Quality Control:
    • Collaborate with Quality Assurance to ensure products meet customer and regulatory standards.
    • Address quality issues in a timely manner.
  • Resource Management:
    • Ensure schedule attainment and on-time delivery to customers.
    • Work with Demand Planning to ensure raw materials are available.
    • Develop and manage production budgets.
  • Equipment and Maintenance:
    • Coordinate with maintenance team to ensure equipment is properly maintained.
    • Implement Autonomous Maintenance programs.
    Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., business, industrial engineering).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and identify areas for improvement.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and practices.
  • Experience with safety protocols and compliance regulations.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $160,000 per year, depending on experience.

In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, you will also receive:

  • A signing bonus of $10,000.
