The Alamo Trust, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Alamo Ranger to join our team. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our historical site, visitors, and employees.
Key Responsibilities:- Patrol the grounds and monitor security systems to prevent and respond to potential security threats.
- Provide exceptional customer service to visitors, answering questions and providing information about the Alamo.
- Conduct security checks and inspections of buildings, properties, and equipment.
- Assist with emergency response situations, including providing first aid and CPR as needed.
- Monitor and authorize entrance and departures of employees, visitors, and other persons to maintain security of premises.
- Collaborate with other security team members to ensure a safe and secure environment for all.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in law enforcement, security work, or military service.
- Level III private security commission certification with the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS).
- Current first aid and CPR certification.
- Successful completion of background investigation.
- Successful drug and alcohol screening test.
- Knowledge of emergency reporting procedures.
The Alamo Ranger will work in a fast-paced environment, often under pressure, and must be able to work effectively in a team setting. The physical demands of the job include standing, walking, and climbing stairs for extended periods. The work environment is sometimes an indoor, climate-controlled office environment, and sometimes an outdoor environment exposed to weather conditions.
