Job Summary:
Lehigh University Libraries is seeking a highly skilled and collaborative library professional to join our team as a Science Librarian. This role will provide specialized research expertise to students and faculty in the Math, Psychology, and Science departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide reference and instruction services to students, staff, faculty, and community members, with a focus on active learning experiences and research support.
- Develop and maintain collections for curricular and research needs in support of Sciences, Math, and Psychology, including data-based resources, scholarly journals, tools, and print and eBooks.
- Build relationships with library and other LTS staff, and with partners across and beyond the university to collaboratively develop relevant and meaningful orientations, programs, and events.
- Pursue professional development learning opportunities to stay current with emerging trends in science research and open science.
Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Librarianship or Information Science from a graduate school accredited by the American Library Association or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of existing and emerging trends in science research, with an emphasis on open science.
- Three to five years of related work experience.
- Working familiarity with the breadth and depth of scientific research resources.
- Higher education teaching experience, and/or presenting to diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated professional commitment to diversity, inclusion, equity, and antiracism.
