Key Responsibilities

Role Overview: You will serve as the technical leader for projects, overseeing project performance for the engineering team in designated areas throughout all project phases, including budget management, scheduling, and client satisfaction. This role will operate with minimal supervision.

Primary Duties Include:
  • Communicate all technical issues, decisions, and challenges to the Hargrove Project Manager.
  • Oversee engineering budgets and schedules, including reporting responsibilities.
  • Plan, schedule, and forecast engineering resources for project execution.
  • Engage with clients on technical design matters.
  • Maintain ownership of project-specific engineering and design protocols, ensuring compliance with client and company standards.
  • Coordinate documentation defining project scope, such as Scope & Criteria documents, P&IDs, and engineering item lists.
  • Identify and manage scope changes throughout the project lifecycle.
  • For 3D modeling projects, regularly assess the model for inter-discipline coordination.
  • Lead inter-discipline coordination efforts to resolve design conflicts.
  • Review all design deliverables, focusing on inter-discipline consistency and thoroughness of reviews.
  • Manage multi-discipline deliverables, including Line Lists, Equipment Lists, Area Classification Drawings, P&IDs, General Arrangement Drawings, and Scope & Criteria Documents.
  • Supervise project team resources and facilitate training.
  • Ensure overall quality control of project deliverables.
Preferred Qualifications

Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering from an accredited institution is required.

Certifications: Professional Engineering and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is highly desirable.

Experience: A minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in engineering and project management is required, including:
  • Familiarity with Hargrove's project execution methodologies.
  • Understanding of company business standards and best practices.
  • Knowledge of engineering standards and project control tools.
  • Proven ability in managing complex projects.
  • Experience leading teams to fulfill commitments.
  • Comprehensive understanding of engineering disciplines, procurement, and construction processes.
  • Ability to cultivate client relationships in challenging situations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to engage with various stakeholders.
  • Capability to maintain composure under pressure.
  • Awareness of customer needs and preferences.
  • Proficiency in delegating authority effectively.
  • Clear communication of expectations and requirements to team members.
  • Strong prioritization skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership with a team-oriented approach.
  • Experience in coaching and mentoring.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong presentation, leadership, and organizational abilities.
